From these stories i have learned that there are more racist issues out there than i ever really knew about. I grew up in a very small town where everyone was litterally accepted without any question. Everyone litterally knows the name of every person in town. But threw movies and going and visiting places and watching other peoples actions, i knew that there was the obvious african-american and white racisim and the hispanic and every other cultur racisim. people who are discriminated against want to share their feelings to get people to understand and see where they were coming from. i think that we are reading these short stories to learn about in detail the lives of others who have been discriminated against. i hope that i will learn to understand the different cultures better and know where they are coming from.
