Race of the Races

I am so sick and tired of all this talk of racial discrimination, or equality. I think it is a good idea to let different races be able to compete on Survivor, but only if they want to. Different people should be able to interact with one another. Doing so can help the United States unite from people getting a better understanding of each others culture and accepting them. It is horrible if the executives of the show are doing this just to get more viewers to watch the show. The way different cultures and races interact with each other should not be some form of entertainment. We are all different in some ways and visa versa. I don’t understand why people are so obsessed with making stereotypes of different races. If this show is in some way being made to confirm those stereotypes then it should not be aired. In what way would that help stop racism or stereotyping of the different ethnicities? I presume the purpose of this new idea is to get the ratings up by getting more people to watch since it is something new. I argue that more people probably will watch it, which is sad, because they are watching it for the wrong reason. I do not feel that anything good will come from this. Survivor, like most reality television, is an idiotic show and this just proves that even more. I just hope that whoever wins this show doesn’t cause any tension between the different ethnicities.
