Survivor 13

As like most others, I am not much of a reality show fan. I can only remember really watching the first Survivor, and even then I wasn't too interested. So I am not suprise that now on their 13th season, they needed to add some twist. There are two sides to this. I agree to what others have said, we already have competitions between races. The Olympics is a great example, here we compete against countries, representing our races. What if there was a school that had a predominantly black basketball team and they had to play a predominantly white basketball team, would it not be the same thing? This is where I think there are two sides, in the instances mentioned before, those are real life examples where it's not planned out. But in the case of Survivor they have specifically set it up this way. How will it turn out? I am almost scared to find out. This could cause greater problems between races, than we already have. I mean if it isn't obvious to all, we still have great issues with racism, even though that was suppose to done with years ago. So are we going back to the the 50's with racial segregation? I don't see this show being very beneficial to our society, we already have enough problems the way it is. I can see this program causing even more racial issues. Because for some reason, there are people out there that takes these reality shows seriously, don't ask me why, but they do. So if there begins to be an increase in racial discrimination once again, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the cause of it. Hopefully we have all moved on from the 50's and won't let this silly game get to us once again.
