ESPN
This past weekend two guy friends of mine headed up to my grandparents with me to go to the Notre Dame vs. Purdue football game. The whole weekend was surrounded by football, food, yelling, winning, and losing. This morning while we were waiting to head back here to school the guys turned on ESPN. I decided that I would use that as my one hour of tv to watch for this blog. I love basketball and during the season I watch it all the time. I’ll even watch some football games, like I did this weekend. However, I can rarely stand to watch ESPN. It is obvious who the targeted audience is here and I doubt it really has to be argued. Sports fans, of any sort, can get there daily fixings of sports knowledge there. I mean they do have like five different ESPNs now a days. The announcers get annoying when they sit there and argue with each or yell over one another. The beer, car, and sports commercials are usually very stupid. I just don’t feel very intelligent while watching ESPN, but I have yet to find a guy who does not like it. My own dad watches it in the morning, during his lunch break, while he is working on his patients, and usually sometime after work. Today watching it however was not so bad. They were talking about Terrell Owens and how he supposedly tried to commit suicide. It was interesting what he and his team mates had to say about him. I am not really into this channel, but I love it when Louisville is playing basketball!
