The movie "cinderella story" shown in class on monday was probably one of he worst documentaries i have ever seen. It was more slanted and one sided than a michael moore film. The whole presentation just shows such a fine concentration or sample of adolescents and does not do justice to our generation. I believe sex i choice people make and it should be a personal one. If two people consent to sex, then that is there business. people have different opinions on the subject. some people view it as a natural instinct and that it is perfectly normal whereas some believe that it is a sinful act. This movie totally taes the stance of women making it seem as they are being forced to have sex and that they really do not want to. what is even worse is that they depict males as not giving a shit about womens feelings or repsecting intimacy for what it really is. In reality, girls are just as bad as gus when it comes to decisions regarding intimacy without a relationship. girls do hav ethe choice to go back to a mans place. Some girls also don't want to recieve the label of being a slut or easy. i've seen instances where girls would use the excuse that they were drunk or forced to have sex just so they wouldn't be labeled. i'm not saying this is the case all the time, they are cases out there where girls are forced or extremely inebriated, but that would go under rape which is a totally different subject. This movie also showed kids from families who were divorced meaning they never really experienced a loving relationship first hand which i believe has a huge effect on a child's moral development. This movie just proves there is a lot of ignorenace on certain taboos such as casual sex and that a persons views on other things can dictate their stance on an issue.
