No Cinderella Story

I'd like to begin this blog with saying that I think that promiscuity is a growing problem in our society. What each person does is up to the individual but I still very much believe in the Cinderella story. I think that there is a person out there for each and every one of us and when I see people I see people that are sexually promiscuous I feel a mixture of both sadness and disgust. When I see kids younger than sixteen that are giving into this, I feel bad for society. I am not of course saying that nobody should ever be sexually active but that people should be much more selective in who they are sexually active with. For example, the random sexual activity that is being exhibited by these young kids is not something to be proud of. I think that many people feel as if adulthood and coming out of adolescence begins when one has sex. I see these kids from New York dressing up to go out and become sexually active with random people as adolescents struggling with becoming adults. I think this might be something that hits big cities the hardest like New York because New York is seen as simply the big city. Everyone is an adult and ready to have a good time. I am unsure of how the socioeconomic background plays into sexual promiscuity among youths. Many of the people in the video did not seem to be a member of a low income family; however, many people seemed to be from low-income families. I do not think that the video covered enough people to recieve a clear idea of how one's socioeconomic background contributes to their sexual activeness. In the end, I think that the Cinderella Story has been slowly dying for many years and if it is to stay alive, it is up to each person to make the choice to not become a part of the youths that give in to "random hook-ups" that have become so famous in today's world.
