Sex for fun anyone?

My favorite line...The sex instructor says, "you know you can have sex and not worry about it the next day." These kids either don't have any respect for themselves or don't know how to respect themselves. Sex has the potential to be a LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE. Just because nothing negative happens to them the first time, doesn't mean you're in the clear the second time. I don't even know where to begin with this blog.

I noticed, in high school, that my friends who's parents were divorced had a tendency to disrespect the opposite sex. Not all of them but enough to notice and make the correlation. There's the old saying, "you are you're parents." As much as I don't hate to admit it, I see many characteristics in my sister and I that are the same as my mother and father. I am a caring person to my friends and family because that's the way I was brought up. My parents instilled in me the importance of love and respect both to males and females. If my mother and father ever got in an argument or confrontation, I never saw it. We can attribute the issues these kids are dealing with to the problems of their parents. I'm not saying if you're parents are divorced or openly argue then, as a kid growing up, you're morals will be tainted, but I see that parents have a huge role in the development for a young persons mind.

Can we blame this on location? Can we assume that the crime in Los Angeles and Washington D.C. is in direct relation to the issues of the kids living there? Do kids growing up in the downtown inner cities of America have harsher of a life then kids of rural cities? I don't think we can attribute location to any of these problems. There is the old saying, "you are who you hang out with." But what drives us to hang out with the friends we do? Does music make us dress and act a certain way, or do we listen to a certain type of music because of the type of people we are?

I love the excuse, "there's nothing to do, that's why we have sex." You have complete control of you're life. A decision to sit around and do nothing with you're life is a decision you make. A person can choose to work a job for extra money. A person has the option to save that money for a car or education. These kids talk about how all they do is drink and smoke and have sex. So what is the money going towards? Underage drinking? Buying weed? I remember drinking for the first time. I was not of age and didn't know what to expect, but remember being so mad because I had wasted my money on something that had no return. Now that I'm older I've learned to to enjoy alcohol in a responsible manner. I can't say I was the same way five years ago. I am thankful I got through my "stupid days" without arrest or injury.
