Halloween seemed to grow more popular as we get older. Girls like it because they can walk around in their underwear (literally) and just play it off as a costume, and boys like it because, well let's face it...girls are walking around in their underwear. "Halloween is the one night a year a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything bad about her. The really hardcore girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears." Much thanks to Lindsay Lohan for that one. Every girl wants to be sexy atleast once in awhile, so some girls see this as their opportunity to be something they can't be any other time without ridicule. The typical halloween costume for a girl today is either something innocent looking, like a fairytale character, but with very little fabric so as to achieve sexy, but not go too far out of a comfort zone, or something just plain scandalous. As a form of visual rhetoric girls take this as an opportunity to show off themselves and take advantage of their one night of no ridicule.
