Oh English 106 Class!

I came into English 106 expecting it to be like any other English class I have had. I heard from older siblings that this class was an easy A so I was rather excited. Little did I know how much I was about to learn and how much my writing would change. The first Monday in the computer lab was one of the scariest days of my life! I did not know what I had gotten myself into and I was estimating my possible grade already. But once I surpassed the first week or so I began to be more comfortable and open to what we were learning. This class has far surpassed by expectations and I feel more socially aware of the world with respect to gender and rhetoric. I loved the class discussions because they helped me analyze stories involving gender issues. This class has been extremely useful and I feel more socially intelligent and I can even see the things we discussed in class during every day life! It is amazing how I never realized these things before. I have looked back at my first paper and compared it with the last paper I wrote and I cannot believe the difference. I never thought writing was my strong point, but now I am more confident in my writing abilities. I have also become stronger in editing my own papers as well, after our editing exercise I can pick out grammar flaws and transition errors. I would highly recommend this class to every incoming freshman, so Mr. Severe get excited to have about 7,000 students next year!
