Cosmo/Cosmo Girl
Both Cosmo and Cosmo Girl are both geared directly towards sex. Although Cosmopolitan is more blatant with their approach, Cosmo Girl also consists of a great deal of sexual articles and suggestions. While cosmopolitan is appropriate for the age group targeted, Cosmo Girl should is inappropriate for the viewing audience.
Cosmopolitan based on sex. Every article I glanced at in this article was either about " Eight Ways to Catch His Eye" or " How to Undress Your Man." In addition to being thoroughly disgusting, this magazine emphasizes mostly only one aspect of relationships. The information contained in this magazine only condones physical aspects of happiness, skipping for the most part other aspects. Cosmo is a magazine for physical relationships.
Cosmo Girl is thouroughly innapropriate for females younger than 18. Although the authors are slightly less blatant with their message, when viewing the articles a great deal are about sex. There is no chance that my daughter will ever own a copy of this magazine with my knowledge. There is no plausible reason for a female to be condoned for this type of behavior at such a young age. Magazines such as these contribute to the pandemic of sexually transmitted diseases across the world. The world would be a better place without this magazine.
Although Cosmo is acceptable for its readers, Cosmo Girl is not. The sexual articles in Cosmo are very expressive compared to the Cosmo Girl, but Cosmo Girl is entirely to mature even for the most precocious teens.
