Sexy Disney...

What ever happened to Snow White, Cinderella, and Bell with their elegant gowns and conservative clothing? Disney has changed the image of their female characters drastically to the risque roles of Ariel, Jasmie, and Pocahontas. These females can routinely be seen in sexy cloths showing a lot of skin. These females have undergone changes in there appearance through the years. But, has Disney really made an effort to make their females sexier?

Snow White, not a princess till the end of the movie, was considered a common girl. Living with seven other guys, she was targeted for being beautiful, even though she never showed a lot of skin. She didn't have to. There was no reason for her to be in sexy cloths. Cinderella was portrayed as being very beautiful as well, even though she never showed a lot of skin. Even in her elegant and formal gowns, she was never provocative. But as a princess in Europe and America, they were not supposed to show skin. It would be considered "unladylike".

Jasmin, in tiny, see through clothing, was a Persian princess. In order to show the stories place and time, Disney gave Jasmin Arabian looking cloths. How funny would she look dressed in a formal gown like Cinderella. The same can go for Ariel. Could you imagine someone trying to swim in the ocean with a big poofy dress on?

Disney has portrayed their females the way they have because of the roles being played. The girls haven't gotten any "sexier," their character roles have just changed.
