CosmoGirl and Cosmopolitan

I have read both, mostly Cosmopolitan, so to refresh my memory I went to the CosmoGirl website. These two magazines are some what similar but at the same time they slightly differ. Starting with the cover, CosmoGirl has some of the same famous people on the cover, but they aren't represented in the same way as Cosmopolitan. On the cover of Cosmo, the people are portrayed as sexy, and very revealing, with the attention of capturing your attention. The contents of the magazines are some what similar but yet again, not covered in the same way. In Cosmo, there are sex tips, positions and all types of advice. While CosmoGirl discusses sex, it is more in the manner of informational. Readers will submit questions, or situations, in which they are answered, as I have seen, not promoting sexual intercourse, or at least safe sex. CosmoGirl is more geared to younger teens, discussing make-up, fashions and how to look good, and boy issues. While Cosmopolitan, is geared for older teens and adults. Cosmo still has articles on fashion, make-up, but also half naked boys, sent in sex stories and much more. The length in the two differ, Cosmopolitan being much longer than CosmoGirl. These are mostly for females, but as a few have mentioned that they have flipped through a Cosmo once or twice, my boyfriend being one of those as well. I personally don't take these magazines seriously, but it entertaining every now and then to read and get a few laughs out of.
