Another Look

The positive side of “A Cinderella Story” is the message it brings out. I argue this message is directed towards both teenagers and parents. Obviously, sex is a problem in our nation. Too many kids are engaging in it without giving thought to the consequences it can have. It is important that my generation can realize this and try to make a difference. Seeing this video definitely opened up my eyes. I had no idea that teenagers were getting so casual with sex. Kids need to be educated about this topic and they need to practice it in safer ways. They need to learn there are alternatives to having sex; other things can be fun to do. Sex can take a toll on someone emotionally and mentally. Most of these kids are in no way mature enough to understand how big of a deal sex is. All the hype about HIV/AIDS, single mothers, abortions, etc. are all examples of this. However, these things do not only affect those engaging in the sex, but also those around them.

It is crucial for parents to know how kids feel about sex. It is the parents’ job to inform their kids about the consequences and be role models for them. Parents’ need to be involved in their child’s life.

This video does a very good job of showing the problem and getting it out there. Maybe after people see this they will want to do something about it and hopefully someday these kids will find an alternative to their boredom.
