Changed point of view

In my last post about this topic, I argued against the video clip, and described the reasons for being an inaccurate portrayal of sex in todays adolesent society. I gave valid and arguable points for the reasons for its inaccuracy, but, onthe other hand, there are also some truths that are also embeded in the video.
We cannot blind ourseleves from the truth about sex in adolesents. Kids are not taking sex as serious as it should be taken, and the video does do an excellent job of portraying this. I argued in my previous blog that region plays a major role, and by all means I stand by that comment, but as a whole nation, sex has become less of a serious action, and is done more frequently in kids younger and younger. The video explains that in Staton Island, sex is done out of boredom, and this probably is true as well. Again, I am not promoting this as a good idea at all, but I do not want to be blind to the fact that casual sex is out there. If there is one good thing that the video does a good job of showing, is a realistic, yet slightly dramatic and biast, view of how teens perceive sex. It is not necessarily a bad thing that the video was sligtly bisat and dramiatic, becaue maybe we need an eye opener on todays world of sex and teens.
